No more backing into things with a Polaris motorhome Rear View camera.
.
A Polaris motorhome rear view camera not only makes reversing a breeze but it ensures that you can see clearly behind your vehicle when reversing.
.
Believe it or not but 11% of accidents involve collision while reversing. Most of the time this is due to poor visibility and miscalculation (Budgetdirect.com.au, 2018). The more vehicles fitted with reverse cameras, the more chance that this figure will drop.
.
Not only that but a reverse camera could potentially save a life or prevent injury. Surprisingly, three accidents occur involving children in home driveways every week (A parent’s guide to kidsafe roads, 2016).
.
We recommend this particular kit for customers that want a rear vision camera on the rear of a motorhome or RV.
.
Not this particular kit but we have many other kits for different applications. See below for some of our other 6.2″ systems.
.
NGCV05 Caravan Reverse Camera System
.
.
NG60CV05 Caravan Rear View Camera System
The actual screen size is 6.2” and the monitor dimensions are: 18.8cm (W) x 10.5cm (H) x 2cm (D)
The 6.2″ motorhome rear view camera kit comes with a dash mounting bracket. There is no drilling required to mount the monitor, it simply adheres with 3m double sided tape. We also sell an optional suction bracket if you prefer to stick it to your windscreen.
.
.
The 6.2″ motorhome rear view camera system has 4 camera inputs with one input dedicated to reverse only.
The 6.2″ motorhome rear view Camera System comes with 2 lots of 7 metre cable
.
.
Yes you certainly can, we have the following extension cables available:
Just remember that if you need extra cable to extend the dual camera, you need to order 2 extension cables.
The kit comes with a dual camera.
.
The dual camera has a 120 degree wide angle lens which is perfect for reversing. The other lens is 45 degrees which is great for long distance viewing.
We normally mount the camera on a vertical surface in the middle towards the top of the motorhome.
.
.
If you wish to know where we would normally mount the camera for your specific vehicle, please call us on 1300 555 514 and speak to one of our experienced staff members.
If you cannot fit the dual camera on a vertical surface then we recommend mounting the bracket on top of the caravan/trailer.
We will normally fit this monitor in the centre of the dash with the monitor pointing towards the driver.
.
No worries at all, if you don’t want anything on your dash, this monitor can be roof mounted:
.
.
Or you might want to look at our other options:
Mirror mount reverse camera kit
.
.
.
Give us a call on 1300 555 514 for the motorhome version for the above alternatives.
Yes we have a 5″ Motorhome Rear view camera kit available
.
Yes this is an option if you require. Just make sure whoever is installing it plugs the camera into Cam 1, 2 or 3, wires it up to accessories power and does not use the reverse trigger wire.
You can wire the system to work all the time so you can use it as a rear vision system.
The dual camera is used more for rear vision purposes. The main reason is because alot of wide angle lens cameras distort depth perception. You need a very narrow angle in order to view long distance (a fair distance down the road) and to judge how close vehicles are behind your vehicle.
.
This is where the 45 degree lens comes in handy. This type of angle lens is not ideal for reversing as it wont give you the wide angle however, it will give you more of a true perception of depth.
.
To give you an example lets say you are driving along and you see a car behind you in the monitor. Because of the wide angle lens, the car may look quite a distance away when in reality the car is actually quite close. However, with the 45 degree angle lens you should be able to make a better judgement because the perception of distance will be more accurate.
.
Yes, just make sure whoever is installing it, plugs the camera into the reverse camera input and hooks up the reverse trigger wire.
The 6.2″ motorhome rear view camera kit has antiglare built into the screen to limit the amount of glare that will obstruct the visibility of the screen. In saying this, there will be different times of the day that might affect the visibility of the screen that cannot be avoided. However, there are some visual settings such as, brightness, colour and contrast that can be adjusted to suit different lighting conditions.
Not with this particular kit, it only comes with the dual camera.
We get asked this question a lot and the simple answer is if you have a Polaris camera on the back of your motorhome, then yes you will have no trouble buying a monitor and parts to get your motorhome camera working.
.
However, if it isn’t a Polaris camera then you will need to ask your motorhome manufacturer what brand of camera they supply? If we know what brand of camera it is, we can most likely help you blend the camera to work with our system.
.
Unfortunately we all do not use the same wiring configuration so it is not a simple plug and play option.
Yes certainly, most motorhome manufacturers are more than happy to comply with your request. Some might charge a small fee to run the cabling and mount the camera but it is definitely worth it to get this part installed whilst your motorhome is being built.
The 6.2″ motorhome rear view camera kit will suit both 12 and 24 volt as it has a reducer built into the monitor.
The system itself is not very complicated. However, we wouldn’t recommend attempting to install it into your motorhome, perhaps leave that to a professional.
.
It is completely up to you though and It’s just a matter of knowing where to run the cables, pulling your dash/trim apart and finding power. If you feel like this is something you would be confident in, then yes you could install itself. You can also check out the wiring instructions here If not, please give us a call on 1300 555 514 and we can recommend an installer for you.
Yes we certainly do, please give us a call on 1300 555 514 to arrange a booking time.
For a caravan we normally charge $400.00 to install the 6.2″ motorhome rear view camera kit.
You have 3 years warranty so you can be rest assured that you have chosen a product with the support to back it.
Yes 100%. Even though we are a small team, we want to make sure that you get a working product at your doorstep.
We sure do. For more information on how zipmoney works please visit www.zipmoney.com.au

The 6.2″ caravan reverse camera system has 4 camera inputs with one input dedicated to reverse only.
Yes you certainly can and all you need to do is the following:

2. Add any of the following cameras to your cart:
.
.

Miniature camera with guidelines
.
.
Number plate camera with guidelines
.
.
3. Apply DISCOUNT code: NGCV05 to receive a $20.00 discount on the car camera
The 6.2″ Caravan Reverse Camera System comes with 4 lots of cables:
.
.
7 metre extension – runs from the monitor to the rear of the tow vehicle.
2m car side WOZA cable – This cable plugs into the 7 metre cable and has a chrome socket on the other end. The chrome socket mounts on the back of the tow vehicle.
2.5m coil cable – A curly cord that sits between the tow vehicle and trailer
10m caravan WOZA cable – 10 metre cable that also has a chrome socket and runs through the trailer/caravan. The chrome socket mounts on the A frame.
A WOZA kit is just another name for a Suzi coil kit. Think of the WOZA kit as an extension cable but it is broken up into 3 pieces so it can be installed into a car and trailer.
.
.
We do not recommend normal extension cables to run from the car to the caravan as these cables are neither waterproof nor are they designed to be continuously unplugged.
We normally supply our White Round Camera. This camera is perfect for mounting onto vertical surfaces.
.
.
The camera that is supplied with this kit (White Round IR Camera ) is 120 degree wide angle lens.
We normally mount the camera on a vertical surface in the middle towards the top of the caravan.
.
If you wish to know where we would normally mount the camera for your specific vehicle, please call us on 1300 555 514 and speak to one of our experienced staff members.
That’s fine, if you cannot fit the white round camera on your trailer/caravan we would recommend either our black IR camera:
.
Or if you want to use it purely for reversing only, we would recommend our miniature camera to be fitted near the number plate:
.
We will normally fit this monitor in the centre of the dash with the monitor pointing towards the driver.

The reason we don’t just sell the 45 degree camera lens is because it won’t give you enough vision for when you need help reversing. Let’s not forget what these systems were originally designed for, especially when reversing a large vehicle like a caravan. Safety should always be top priority.
If you just want a standard reverse camera system, then this system won’t be of much benefit. We would recommend our standard caravan reverse camera system
.

The 6.2″ caravan rear view camera kit has antiglare built into the screen to limit the amount of glare that will obstruct the visibility of the screen. The system itself is not very complicated. However, we wouldn’t recommend attempting to install the caravan part, perhaps leave that to a professional.
