Hilux Maxx

From the 13/06/2019, the Hilux Maxx comes with latest Map guarantee and 1 year free update.

You can update your maps via www.naviextras.com. Please see video tutorial section to view how you can update your maps.


Latest Map Guarantee

At the time of purchase, if the mapping provider releases a new version of mapping on naviextras.com you can update free of charge. This falls under your latest map guarantee.


1 Year Free update

You are also entitled to to 1 free map update 12 months from the time the car has travelled 20kms.

Before Attempting an update, please double check which Android version you have:

Generally if you purchased the Hilux Maxx between the 1/5/2018 – 8/3/2019 you should have Android 7.1.2

If you purchased the Hilux Maxx from the 1/5/2019 you will most likely have Android 8.0.

It always good to double check the version before running the update to avoid any damage to the unit.

7.1.2 Software Update:

General Update

Description: Can fix minor bugs and problems

If you are experiencing issues with your Hilux Maxx, it is best to try a reset before attempting a software update. To reset the Hilux Maxx, you will need something tiny to pop into the reset hole located on the front of the unit. Hold it in for approx 30 seconds until you see the coloured lights behind the button panel flash. Once you see this, release the reset hole.

Tips:

  • Make sure you download and unzip the files from the link before loading onto a USB or SD card.
  • Please be aware that there are also instructions within the same link – please do not put these onto an external device with your update files.
  • If you are loading the update on an SD card, please insert the SD card in place of your GPS card
  • If you are loading the update on a USB, please insert the USB into one of the cabled USB s (normally located in your Glove Box).
